Favorite Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

If they’re not your favorite oatmeal cookies now, they will be.  



1/2 stick butter

4 tablespoons butter flavored crisco

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 eggs

2 cups flour

3 cups oatmeal, not the instant variety

2 teaspoons baking powder

pinch of salt

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla

3/4 cup TorchBearer Sauces Mango-Papaya Sauce



Add any one of these ingredients to the dough to make your cookies even more festive!

2 cups chocolate chips

2 cups raisins


You can add 1 cup of chopped nuts with any of the ingredients.



Pre-heat oven to 375 F


In a large mixing bowl cream the butter, shortening, sugar, brown sugar together.  Slowly mix in eggs, oatmeal, flour, salt, baking powder.  Mix in the milk, vanilla, and Mango-Papaya Sauce.  This dough will be very wet looking.


Fold in any of the optional ingredients.


Place parchment paper on un-greased cookie sheets.  Put rounded tablespoons of cookie dough approximately 2 inches apart.  Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
