This month we are trying something new and exciting! We want to see all the ways our fans take our expertly crafted BBQ sauces and incorporate them into interesting and tasty dishes. August's first annual BBQ Recipe Contest is in full swing!
Sure, you can grab a bottle of honey mustard and finish some grilled chicken thighs with it or put a big dollop on your plate to dip fries in. Don't get us wrong, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Our real focus is to get a good idea of what all you master home chefs and mad food scientists are making outside of our little bubble. Do you marinate? Do you mix it into something wild? Are you glazing a dessert?? We gotta know!
We are looking for interesting, easy to follow recipes that make our BBQs the star of the meal. If you have something that makes the fam drool in anticipation or a meal that is near and dear to your heart involving one of our awesome BBQs, we want to try it. It's easy to enter and, if you win, you get to pick 12 sauces from our extensive lineup for FREE!
What Are the Rules?
Not many, but we do have a few.
- You may use other sauces to make the recipe work, but you must use one of the following BBQ sauces as the star flavor:
- Chipotle BBQ
- Pineapple Papaya BBQ
- Coffee BBQ
- Honey BBQ
- Carolina Style BBQ
- You must include a picture of your dish as part of your submission. We love your cats, but we don't wants pics of them.
- Make sure your recipe is clear and correct.
How Do I Enter?
You just need to read and fill out this form to the best of your ability before August 22nd. It's super easy! The main thing is to be sure the recipe is correct because, if your dish looks good to us, you will be one of the 6 finalists whose recipe we make ourselves. That's right! We are going to cook it up and pass it around the office so everyone can weigh in. After we've tasted them all we will discuss and declare a winner.
We'll choose the 6 finalists based on these criteria:
- Ease of ingredient availability
- Presentation in your pic
- Uniqueness
- Recipe Clarity
- How much is the BBQ sauce the "star" of the dish?
All 6 finalists will get their dish featured on our socials and in the blog.
We are just giddy at seeing, making, and especially tasting what you all have been doing over the last 20 years. It is going to be so satisfying to see first-hand how we've helped feed our friends, fans, and neighbors something that we believe in and has made others happier.
