A Simple Powerhouse
If there's one question we get asked again and again when we are out and about, it has to be if we make a mango hot sauce. We've tried a few recipes here and there and even had a mango papaya dessert sauce back in the day but never settled on anything with heat. All that changed when we started working with Barry Kerch from Shinedown on a line of sauces he had always wanted. With his help we stripped it down to the essentials and made one of the TorchBearer crew's favorites: Shinedown's Attention Attention This is Hot!!! Mango Habanero Sauce.

See What Had Happened Was...
TorchBearer is no stranger to the lime light. We had been featured on Hot Ones a few times already, Ben and Vid had been on Good Morning America, Scott and Jo had been working with Danny Wood for awhile on his sauces, and Andy had made his way into the metal scene with some Nekrogoblikon sauces. It was great for our sanity and our business to branch out into the world and make connections.
One morning Andy was going through his emails when something from Warner Music ended up in his inbox, stating that Barry Kerch and Shinedown wanted to collaborate on some sauces. It seemed a bit fishy but the guys looked into it and before they knew it, they were meeting with the gentlemen in the band and pitching sauce ideas. A chipotle and garlic sauce (Symptom), loosely based on TorchBearer's number one sauce, Garlic Reaper, was the first to get green lit, with a spicier, fruity and herbal jerk sauce following closely behind (Devour).
The final sauce in the trio needed to be hotter but not so brutal that the average hot sauce enjoyer would shy away.
