Our biggest and most talked about sauce ever is having another banner year! Garlic Reaper, the sauce that shut Gordon Ramsay up, made Shaq "make a face," and continues to be a heated (pun fully intended) discussion in all the hot sauce forums, is at it again. This time it's burning down Walmart (not really!!) and Chowhound has some nice things to say about your favorite super-hot.

How Did It All Begin?
We're so glad you asked! You see, Garlic Reaper didn't just randomly spring to life in our kettle overnight. It actually goes way back to some of our first sauces.
Back when we were just a humble few and slinging veggies and habaneros around like lunatics, we kept having people ask us why we didn't make anything for sauce lovers who didn't necessarily want spiciness every single time. We thought that was a fairly reasonable question and got right on it. After some trial and error, Oh My Garlic was born and shot right up the ranks of popularity almost immediately.
It was so good we began using it as a base for other ideas careening off the walls of our addled brains. We made Psycho Curry and Smokey Horseradish, which also were hugely popular and just plain tasty. There wasn't much we could mess up as long as we started with that mouth-watering garlic recipe.
Awesomeness Level 100 Unlocked
Years later, after getting a few early seasons of Hot Ones under our belts, they asked if we could come up with something really dastardly for the biggest season yet. We didn't have much time and almost just haphazardly began throwing anything into a pot we could find. Seconds before one of us crawled in there to see how human might enhance a recipe, we remembered the Oh My Garlic method. We got our trembling mitts on a whole load of Reaper peppers and got to work.
You know how they say "Necessity is the mother of invention"? Well THIS was one mother of an invention! It blew us all away and has never once dropped from its first-place position in our repertoire. Since then Garlic Reaper has won multiple awards and is the first thing folks want to stock when they graciously bring us into their shops.
Garlic Reaper Is Here to Stay
Garlic Reaper's popularity still surprises us to this day because, while it is undeniably garlicky and delicious, it is also absurdly hot! It just goes to show you how crazy and dedicated hot sauce fans are. We promise to keep making Garlic Reaper as long as you all want it, and we don't see the demand going down any time soon!
