Pizza! There's so many styles and limitless toppings that we'd be willing to bet it's impossible to ever try all the possibilities. The good news is you don't have to worry about any of that because we have the best version here. On top of that, it's actually pretty healthy. Feel free to have THREE slices...
Ingredients
Pizza dough
6-8 oz Torchbearer’s Oh My Garlic ™ Sauce
1 medium zucchini, thinly sliced
1 small onion, sliced
1 medium tomato, diced
2 C mozzarella, grated
1 Tb hot pepper flakes (optional)
2 Tb fresh basil, thinly sliced
1 pinch of salt
2 Tbsp Sultry Hot Sauce (or hotter hot sauce) (optional)
Recipe
Prepare your favorite pizza dough. Preheat your oven (if you are using a
pizza stone preheat your stone in a 490° F oven. If you are not using a
pizza stone preheat your oven to 400° F). Thinly slice zucchini, slice onion
and dice tomato. After slicing your zucchini lay them out on a paper towel
and lightly salt them (this is to pull some of the extra water out of your
zucchini. Don’t forget to pat your zucchini dry). Stretch pizza dough to
the size pizza you like. Liberally spread the Oh My Garlic ™ Sauce (mixed with the Sultry Hot Sauce if you are using it) onto the dough.
Add the sliced zucchini, sliced onion, and diced tomato to pizza. Top with
mozzarella cheese. Sprinkle with hot pepper flakes (if you like a little kick).
If you are using a pizza stone drop your oven temperature down to 400° F
to bake your pizza (if you are not using a pizza stone leave your oven
temp at 400° F). Bake for 10-20min or until the crust is lightly browned
and cheese is bubbly. Remove from oven and let it rest for a few minutes
before slicing. Garnish with fresh sliced basil.
Makes 1 large pizza.
